Fed swap lines might not be enough to stop the dollar’s rise

While the additional swap lines announced by the Fed today seem to have given respite to a few embattled currencies, they may not be sufficient to stop the dollar in its tracks. We think that the greenback will not weaken by much until the wider turmoil in the markets starts to ease.
