Economy losing momentum

A protracted housing downturn, less supportive growth in business investment and controlled government spending will curb economic growth this year. Thankfully, moderate export growth will bolster an otherwise sagging economy. Nevertheless, we expect annual average GDP growth to slow from 1.8% in 2012 to only 1.0% in 2013 and 1.3% in 2014.
