Nationwide House Prices (Mar.)

The acceleration in house price growth to an 18-year high of 14.3% will add to concerns that the pandemic housing market boom is getting out of hand. With mortgage rates rising, house price inflation will surely ease in the months ahead. But if house prices continue to surge or interest rates increase by more than we currently forecast, the level of house prices would become more precarious.
