Doves in flight, Turkey-West relations fracturing

The raft of interest rate cuts and dovish noises out of central banks this week support our view that monetary policy will remain loose or be loosened further across most of the region in the near-term. Meanwhile, this week has brought stark evidence that Turkey’s ties with the West are fraying and a further deterioration in relations would hamper Turkey’s long-term economic prospects.
