James O’Rourke

James is an economist in the Commissioned Projects team. Before joining Capital Economics in 2019, James worked at Diageo PLC in the Commodity Price Risk Management function, which involved analysing commodity and macro markets in order to create and execute hedging strategies for global raw material exposures.

James holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. During his university years, he worked at HSBC Private Bank S.A. as a summer analyst in the UK investments team, as well as at Ofcom as an economist intern in the Chief Economist Team.
