Grant Colquhoun

Grant joined Capital Economics in 2018 from CRU, a mining, metals and fertilizers consultancy. He was a member of CRU’s economics team for eleven years, during which time he specialised in the Chinese economy. He became CRU’s Group Economist in 2012 and led the economics team’s global macroeconomic, sectoral and cost-related analysis, forecasting and presenting. He also worked as the Head of International Industry Service with Oxford Economics, modelling and forecasting a wide-range of industrial and service sectors, including aerospace, automotive, construction, machinery and tourism. Previous roles include being a Macroeconomic Adviser at Her Majesty’s Treasury and an Economist for British Steel.

Grant has a Master’s Degree in Economics & Finance from the University of Bristol and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Bath.
