Economists

Capital Economics is always on the lookout for able economists with enthusiasm and flair as well as top-flight academic training.

Reflecting the varied nature of our work, we are interested in candidates with three different specialisms:

• Macroeconomists, with experience of economic forecasting and financial markets;
• Economists with special knowledge and experience of the property market - both residential and commercial, in the UK and abroad.
• Microeconomists able and willing to move from one research assignment to the next;

We offer a competitive salary, and there is the potential for a very substantial performance-related bonus.

Candidates will need an excellent first degree in Economics, and probably a second degree, plus relevant work experience. Candidates will also need to demonstrate flexibility and an ability to apply economic principles to a wide range of economic issues.

Good computer skills, a keen analytical mind and the ability to communicate in English clearly, orally and in writing, are essential, as are commercial awareness and the ability to work well in a team.
