Property Economics

Ed StansfieldEd Stansfield manages our commercial property and housing market research. He has degrees in Economics from Sussex and York and began his career at the UK Treasury where he worked as an Economic Adviser. Ed joined Capital Economics from UBS where he was responsible for analysing the UK and euro-zone economies. Ed regularly presents our views on the property market to our clients and appears frequently in the media.

At Capital Economics he works closely with the UK Economics team and ensures that the many links between the property market and the UK economy are fully incorporated in our thinking and our modeling work.

 

Kelvin DavidsonKelvin Davidson contributes to the analysis of both the residential and commercial sectors of the market. Prior to joining us, Kelvin worked as an economist for a private consultancy, Infometrics, in his native New Zealand. Kelvin has two degrees in economics from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.

 

Paul DigglePaul Diggle joined Capital Economics in 2010 and focuses on UK residential property market research and analysis. Previously, Paul worked for Volterra Consulting where he advised property developers, surveyors and public sector clients on the impacts of the economy on large commercial and residential property schemes. Paul has a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from Oxford University.

 

James PurvisJames Purvis joined Capital Economics as a Property Economist in 2009. His focus is on European commercial property market research and analysis. Previously, James worked as a Property Economist for Business Strategies, the economic forecasting division of Experian. His role there involved analysing and modelling European commercial property markets for a wide variety of clients. James holds a mathematics degree from the University of Sheffield.
