Brazil: Interest rates to fall further as economy stalls

The Brazilian economy stagnated in Q3 and looks set to contract in Q4. As we said it would be at the time, the central bank’s decision to cut interest rates early has been fully vindicated and the Selic will probably fall further – perhaps to 9.5% in the first half of next year.
