Japan Economics Weekly
A look back at 2011
In this Weekly we take a look back at 2011. The devastating earthquake and tsunami in March was undoubtedly the most significant event of the year. Principally a human tragedy, the disaster also had substantial economic and political consequences.
The next edition of the Japan Economics Weekly will be published on Friday 6th January (dated, as usual, the following Monday). Capital Economics’ offices will be closed for the holidays from Saturday 24th December and will reopen on Tuesday 3rd January. We wish all our readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
