Japanese imports from Asia have cooled

At the time of the earthquake in Japan in March, many governments in the region feared the potential impact on their economies. However, although Taiwan and the Philippines saw demand for their exports to Japan fall, other countries in the region have barely been affected, while some countries seem to have benefited from the problems in Japan. Now that supply-chain problems are being resolved and with rebuilding set to begin soon, Japanese imports from Asia should pick up in the coming months.
